Andrea was born on 8 June 1984, at the Princess Grace Hospital in La Colle, Monaco as the first son of Princess Caroline and her husband Stefano Casiraghi. 
In October 1990, when Andrea was just six, his father was killed in a tragic speedboat accident close to Monaco. After this, his mother and siblings moved to Paris to avoid the intense media attention.
He has three younger siblings Charlotte, Pierre, and a half-sister Princess Alexandra of Hanover from his mother's second marriage to Ernest August, Prince of Hanover. 
After studying in both France and Canada, Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual arts and international politics in 2006 from the American University of Paris. 
In July 2012, royal watchers rejoiced as it was announced Andrea was engaged to his long-time girlfriend Tatiana Santo Domingo and just over a year later in August 2013, the couple married in a private ceremony at the Prince's Palace in Monaco. They later married in a Roman Catholic ceremony in February 2014 in the beautiful city of Rougemont in Switzerland.
The stylish couple welcomed their first child Alexandre Andrea Stefano (known as Sacha) in March 2013, when Tatiana gave birth in London.
Andrea's good looks are often celebrated with him being included in People magazine's 'Most Beautiful People' list in 1999 and being named the second most beautiful male royal, after Sweden's Prince Carl Philip, by the website Beautifulpeople.com, in 2011.
